Huawei home battery
Your solar panels generate energy even when you’re not home to use it. That’s why a home battery is a convenient system. It stores the electricity you don’t use for later. This makes you less dependent on the grid and helps save on energy costs.
Last year, Huawei launched their energy storage system, the Luna 2000. This is a stackable battery system compatible with both single-phase and three-phase hybrid inverters from Huawei. This allows you to expand the installation whenever you want.
The home battery consists of individual high-voltage modules of 5 kWh, which can function independently. This allows you to benefit from increased battery life and durability. Each module manages itself and does not affect the performance of other modules with variations such as temperature and age. This means that you can add new modules even after 10 years without affecting the other modules. This is quite unique compared to other battery systems that operate in series.
Huawei has over ten years of experience in energy storage. So, it’s not surprising that the Luna battery system is equipped with many features. This is beneficial for you as it ensures you have a cost-effective system.
Key features of a huawei home battery
High-voltage lithium modules with 100% depth of discharge
5 kWh capacity per module, scalable up to 30 kWh
AI-powered internal short circuit diagnosis to prevent fire hazards
Temperature control at the cell level to detect overheating
Internal heating system for better performance in extreme weather conditions
10-year warranty
As mentioned earlier, the battery system is expandable. More specifically, you can stack up to three modules on top of each other, providing a maximum storage capacity of 15 kWh per stack. But it doesn’t stop there! You can further expand by connecting a second stack in parallel, giving you a total storage capacity of 30 kWh.
A home battery with a sleek design
The sleek design of the energy storage system is very attractive compared to other home batteries. At the very top is the power module, also known as the Battery Monitoring Unit, which handles the connection and communication with the inverter.
A nice touch to the design is the LED display on the front with a circular dial. This dial contains ten lights that indicate the battery's charge status, allowing you to quickly check the battery's charge level.
